Lady Lancaster Aunt Ethel Touching Star Jacket
LADY LANCASTER
Lady Lancaster Aunt Ethel Touching Star Jacket
The jacket is a future heirloom and an original design by Lady Lancaster. This is an antique American Quilt top made circa 1930's to 1940's. It is a traditional Touching Stars quilt pattern. The quilt has been beautifully hand sewn. To complete the quilt, it was backed and long armed by our dear friend Zoe Dawn. This jacket is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. In our opinion the jacket is very thin, very soft, very lightweight, and has a beautiful and flattering drape. The quilt is comprised of all new fabrics and does not need any TLC. This jacket is a work horse and a show pony! The jacket was preloved and may show appropriate signs of wear for its age! If you like to wear your Ethels inside out and upside down, this is a great option for you!
- The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.
- One Size Fits Most - Model is 5’6
Please note that many of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. At times the fabrics are older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
