We are looking for a skilled sales associate to join our sales team! The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic personality and a strong orientation with customer service/sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and wait on all customers who enter the store.
  • Engage customers, ask probing questions, give intriguing demonstrations, add-on merchandise to sales, and successfully close sales.
  • Know and share information about the store and any current promotions/events. Demonstrate this knowledge by accurately communicating promotions/events, hours of operation and store information to our guests.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product knowledge, as well as trends and developments within the western retail industry.
  • Build, maintain, and work customer account directory with a systematic customer contact program by telephone, direct mail, and direct contact.
  • Call customers when out-of-stock or special order items are received.
  • Operate a standard point of sale system.
  • Clean and shape hats. Take measurements for custom hats and submit special orders.
  • Take measurements for custom boots and submit special orders.
  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our customers and personnel, damage or loss of our property, or the property of others.
  • Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • Keep store area re-stocked, sized, neat, and clean.
  • Attend mandatory monthly store meetings.
  • Assume other responsibilities as asked by the store sales managers.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be customer-centric.
  • Must have a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb a flight of stairs on a regular basis, and two flights of stairs on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to use a safety ladder/step-stool to remove and replace items hanging on walls or high shelves.
  • Ability to use a tool to retrieve hat boxes from high shelves.
  • Ability to climb in and out of window displays to retrieve and replace merchandise.
  • Ability to perform typical household duties such as, but not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and cleaning.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Sales Floor Manager on Duty

We are looking for a skilled manager on duty to join our sales team! The ideal candidate will have a strong orientation with customer service/sales, an ability to lead sales floor personnel with a professional, optimistic, and enthusiastic approach, and a strong understanding and execution of sales floor operations and merchandise presentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume all responsibilities for sales floor management when scheduled as manager on duty.
    • Assist in the management of all sales floor personnel, including but not limited to: assigning daily duties, areas of responsibility, leading morning sales meetings, scheduling lunch times, and ensuring that all daily personnel paperwork is completed properly.
    • Assist in the coaching and training of the sales team. Constantly observe the sales techniques of the sales staff. Reinforce good selling behaviors and give in-the-moment feedback to correct selling behavior opportunities.
    • Assist in the management of all sales floor operations, including but not limited to: ensuring that the store is opened and closed according to schedule, performing routine store opening and closing procedures, calculating the daily store sales goal correctly, and overseeing the proper execution of all customer transactions including returns, special orders, layaways, repairs and holds.
    • Know and execute all merchandising standards. Assist in the supervision of store merchandise presentation.

E-Commerce Content Coordinator & Resident Photographer

We are looking for a talented content coordinator and resident photographer to join our e-commerce team! The ideal candidate will have interest and knowledge of fashion and current trends as they relate to company merchandise to assemble outfits for content, experience using mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, experience using Shopify, understanding of marketing topics and trends within the western industry, strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, ability to work independently and as a team player, strong photography skills to create quality content, strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask, and the ability to work outside of traditional business hours to capitalize on trunk show business, events happening within the industry and prime times of customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

-Shoot and edit photos and videos used for social media.
-Oversee website maintenance, diagnose issues, and initiate communication to resolve any issues with the proper party.
-Research competitors and other appropriate websites for ideas a minimum of once a week, or as often as needed.
-Research analytics for web performance and marketing monthly, or as needed. Share this information with all members of the marketing team.
-Stand in for the E-commerce customer service/sales specialist when they are absent and process web sales.
-Keep an ongoing list of web operating instructions, including but not limited to printing shipping labels and responding to urgent web issues.
-Collaborate with buyers and the E-Commerce customer service/sales specialist and content coordinator to select product to be put on the website.
-Add a minimum of 75 items a week to the website on non-event/non-trunk show weeks.
-Review Google ad words monthly and coordinate with external e-commerce partners accordingly.
-Change one or more website slideshow photographs a minimum of twice a month.
-Oversee maintenance of e-mail database.
-Send e-mail to Maverick customer database at least once a week, depending on special events and trunk shows.
-Create, design, and take photographs for print ads and mailers.
-Shoot and edit photos and videos used for e-commerce, print advertising, and in-store promotions.
-Photograph in-store special events and post on social media.
-Offer creative contributions to Monday marketing meetings and the social media content calendar.
-Attend weekly managers meeting to report sales, marketing and promotional ideas, and contests and concerns.
-Help evaluate analytics to determine the success of e-commerce strategy and adjust action items accordingly.
-Attend monthly Stockyards Business Association meetings and other community engagement events.
-Monitor monthly budget to ensure spending is aligned with budget.
-Attend markets to assist with product selection as needed.
-Format and order business cards.
